Hello everyone and welcome.  About 3 years ago when I was in Colorado Springs doing the Colorado Renaissance festival I called around a few French restaurant  around town to see if anyone was playing  Petanque.   Most places  didn’t even recognized the name Petanque, they were just in the  business of French food.    On the other hand  when I called the restaurant named  at the time (la Petite Maison) now ( Le Bristro ) same management by  Chef executive and owner Henry Chaperon,  the minute he answered the phone he said off course I play Petanque.      Well since we became best friend and  we built this beautiful court in the back of his restaurant and because of his hospitality and the dedication of a few local players the game and the club stayed strong.  So for Bastille day as a celebration they had their first  Panache tournament. A mix  from local players and actors, jugglers, magicians, singers even the king showed up   from the Renaissance.  Total of 24 players  from 10 years to 73 years old .    Since we only had one court people had plenty time to test  henry’s great food and listen to  Gerard Mali fantastic French orchestra. The final finished around 10:30 pm.    The winners were Larry Thunberg ( Manitou Springs ) Greg Boynton ( Aurora)  and Arsene Dupin ( France).   Second place were  Jeffrey Fox     ( manitou Springs),  Rook ( AZ), Hank Miller (Ohio).  What a great celebration  A + LOVE Arsene
