Hello everyone and welcome.

For the last few years HOT had the incredible opportunity to expose the game of Petanque to the general public.  Art City Austin is a unique blend of incredible artists coming from all over the nation.  Usually the festival does bring in over 30000 people for the weekend. More than 100 temporary outdoor galleries are set against the streets, plazas, and green spaces along Cesar Chavez where the award-winning Austin City Hall rests on the banks of Lady Bird Lake. And guess what?.  At the center of the whole festival there is a  0.2 acre sliver of parkland with a half-dozen trees south of City Hall  named after council member Margret  Hofmann also know as the “Tree Lady.” And there is enough space  for two courts under the shade and we do Petanque demonstrations and teach the general public wondering what this  game is all about?  Thank you to all the HOT members that did come to support the event  and showed a lot of patience to teach all those new comers. A+ Love Arsene

  1. The first photo is precious. I love art so I wish I could have been there. It would have been nice to see a game of Petanque too.
