HOT NEWS! PETANQUE IN COLORADO PART 3

IMG_2092

Hello everyone and welcome.

Every year there is always new clubs joining FPUSA.  The Mile High Petanque Club this year is one of them, and I got the chance to go play with them at their new beautiful location the Centennial Gardens. We played on a Tuesday night, not one of their regular scheduled time to play, they usually play on Sunday’s but since I perform on weekend I am only able to play during the week.  But the President David Keil was able to get four players and I was able also to bring in a group of four players from the Renaissance festival.  At first not everyone arrived at the same time so we played four against three. Oh yes I do understand it is not the way you play Petanque, only up to three players! but if you want to make a club grow never keep players on the side line, they will not come back if they don’t have a good time or if they are not allowed to play because of rules.  It was great to meet all those  friendly players, David started  as a competitive ‘league’ in 2007 not even knowing about other clubs in the US.  But this year he joined FPUSA with his Vice President Steve lessard  and opened up  the games to the public and believe me the new set up they have in this Gardens are beautiful and the courts are a perfect crushed granite ground, enough to have  twenty  games at once.   Down the road we played regular doublette and the games were rich in qualities and fun.  Thank you for inviting us we all had a great time, HOT is happy to have made a new Petanque  connection.  Now there is two places in Colorado open to the public to play Petanque, if you happen to visit Denver or Colorado Springs.  To contact the Mile High club: Davis Keil , Mile High Pétanque Club | wcsbl1@gmail.com,to contact the Colorado Spring Petanque club vkfox@vkfox.com

A+ Love Arsene
