HOT NEWS! PLAYING IN COLORADO.

Hello everyone and welcome.

Colorado is part of the Central Region.  Back in the early 80’s I started to performed  at the Colorado Renaissance Festival,  http://coloradorenaissance.com://  and I am still here this year sharing the stage with celebrity of America’s Got Talent, The Kamikaze FireFlies, http://www.kamikazefireflies.com   So way back  I used to take petanque balls from France  and I will go from town to town, Boulder, Aspen,PuebloLyon,etc.. in search of French cafe or French restaurant to see if anyone was playing there.  Sometime I will get to play some games with some French tourists and sometime I will found French citizen who emigrated to Colorado.  I had no idea that  America  will eventually be interested in the game.  So most of the time I will play with my circus friends at the Festival.    And now there is many players and clubs in Colorado.  The Mile High Pétanque Club is about to have their very first Central Inter-Regional Open Singles & Select Doubles taking place this July 26-27th weekend at the  Centennial Gardens in downtown Denver.  This will be an FPUSA sponsored event featuring a clinic Saturday morning followed by an Open Singles Tournament. On Sunday,  FPUSA will host the Central Inter-Regional Select Doubles Tournament.   Please if you have any question regarding registration get in touch with President David Keil wcsbl1@gmail.com  or Vice-President Steve Lessard (lessard10@mac.com) /http://milehighpetanque.wordpress.com

Also if you want a more casual game and great food, go to Le Bistro,  http://lebistrocs.com   A few years back in the back of  my friend Master Chef Henri Chaperon’s restaurant in Colorado Springs, we built a couple of courts by hands.  To this day players still get together all year long.   The summer schedule is every Thursday for  June and July.   For more infos contact Virginia Fox  on email:  vkfox@vkfox.com
