Hello everyone and welcome,

By now we are back in Austin Texas.   But here is a little recapitulation of the amazing trip we took around France for three weeks going from tournament to tournament.  First we started with the PPF in Lyon where we were part of the staff  helping to put together the event as well as being the court boys during the Tir de Precision.   On the top of all that, we had the opportunity to play with World Champions like Fazzino, Quintais, Foyot, etc… Wow!

We went on to the Obut factory for a meeting with management and luck would have it this was the annual get together of all the players sponsored by Obut.  So unreal!  We got to meet and play with Hector Milesi on the beautiful indoor courts of Le Carré Petanque.  We went on to the birth place of the game of petanque in La Ciotat.  We were welcomed by the new President of the Jules Le Noir club as well as by Le Cercle des Boulonames Ciotadens.  We practiced and played a lot there to get ready to participate at the Martigues National where we were the first American Triplette ever to participate there.  From the South we went to Montluson to be received by Christian Fazzino at the biggest Boulodrome in the world named after him. And we finished the trip by going to the Sister City of Austin, Angers.   Again we were received like kings at  the Mayor’s office and by the local Petanque clubs who organized a Tournament for us to participate in.  The Heart of Texas Petanque club continues to fortified international ties between clubs and events to keep on promoting the game in the USA.   Merci to all who made this trip unforgettable.

A+ Love Arsene.
